TOPIC: Just another "Registration gives no feedback"

Just another "Registration gives no feedback" 3 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi,

i've already tried searching for that topic and found a thread that provided a link to a solution, now that link is dead though. So i thought to myself, maybe someone still remembers the solution to the following problem:

I'm using Joomla 1.5.9 and the BlackBearPro-template, which really looks nice and seems to work perfectly. Until you try to register at least. Registering works, it does send e-mail, but it doesn't give any feedback stating whatever you've just done worked. When registering and switching to a different template though, i can see a "registration successfull"-message. So i guessed it might eventually have something to do with the template. I hope someone here maybe has a solution. If someone wants to try it:

Oh yeah, its german but i guess you'll find the registration ;) Thanks for your help!

Would be great, i don't expect many people to register to that site, especially because it covers a topic not many people can attend to but the few who will register, will probably send 10-20 registrations before they might notice it already worked the first time =D

Looks like I'm going to have own up and say I've missed something.

docs.joomla.org/Reference: System_Events_for_Plugin_System

I have not included a system plugin in the template.

I'll have to do a little more digging on this.

I'm not much into web-programming, so i'm glad some people invented Joomla and also that there are people like you who make it look nice. That said, i have to admit that i don't have a clue what the information on the link you provided is trying to tell me. So i guess i'll just wait patiently for you to hopefully post here again ;)

i have something to add. there is actually a place where the missing message is actually displayed, but it's not where it should go. check yourself:

login to the site, go to "Kartenarchiv" which will display phocagallery categories. Goto "Adlertal" and open an image. You'll get the last message the system spat out...i have no idea if that's a template problem or a problem of phocagallery of a problem of the phocagallery template. maybe you have an idea, i'm lost =(

hello, i want to join into that topic cause about the same problem.

ive asked someone other and got the reply that probably some commands are missing in the index.php.

a possible command is that one:

<jdoc:include type="message" />

i dont know how to add those commands correctly and i am not sure if this the only command to show the system messages.

i hope we can get this fixed. like it is right now it isnt really useful.

1. We got no confirmation if the account was created.

2. we got no message if the username or email already in use

i really hope someone can give us an instruction how to add these needed commands to display the system messages.

really thanks in advance
