For those interested, I found a temporary solution for solving this problem.
I use the www.tinyurl.com website to convert my long search url to a simple url and use this simple url as the link for my tagwords.

I prefer the SD option cos it is applicable to my site.

UPDATE: SOLVED.

Can use search url once I activate the SEO/SEF feature in Joomla 1.5.8

For those running into problems with 1.0.6, I did a small update to my mod to fix some URL encoding issue some users had.

Works only for J.1.5.x. It's FLOM mod 1.0.5 with some code cleanup and uses swfobject 2.1 library to insert the flash
cloud into the page dynamically, so this ensures the correct code is written for each browser.

If you are already using swfobject 1.x in your site, you would need to disable that and enable the one here. Pay attention to the modules that used the 1.x as they might run into problems.

Note: If you get errors, try enabling legacy to verify if that solves it. If that is the case let me know so I can remove any further dependencies.
