Thanks for letting me know. I can't really speak Japanese so it's good to have your feedback. Is Kanji necessary? I only left it out because with all Japanese characters encoded in Joomulus, the file size was around 7MB. Which can't be used on a webpage. With just Kana the file size was 75kb, which is still almost double English, Greek, and Russian Joomulus files.
I think a large part of the file size is the font I used. Do you know of any open source .ttf fonts for Japanese? We might be able to get a smaller file with a more efficient font. I only ask for an open source font because there are legal issues with embedding fonts for redistribution. And I find it really really hard to search for any because I can't read Japanese :)

Thank you for your continious development for the Japanese implementation of the module. So far there are no Japanese compatible tag cloud for Joomla and I hope to help to create the 1st.
Anyway, yes, in Japanese, we use Hiragana/Katakana/Kanji unlike Chinese and Koreans. In addition, we also use alphanumeric characters.
I will try to look for an open source .ttf font which is not too big.

Hello,
OK I unistalled the module from the backend and re-installed it. It was successful without any errors.
Please take note that in Japanese, we use a combination of 3 different charactersets = HIRAGANA / KATAKANA / KANJI.
Aside from that, when typing on a computer or any similar device, we have an option to use 1 and 2 byte KATAKANA as well as to 1 and 2 byte Alphabet characters.
So meaning, without covering all the above, we can't say that the module is 100% compatible with the Japanese language.
My conclusion after this test...
Hiragana = YES
1 and 2 byte Katakana = YES
Kanji = NO
1 and 2 byte Alphabets = NO (this means any alphabets will not show when the language is set to JP)
good job. thanks you
