Joomulus not displaying flash 1 Year, 10 Months ago Karma: 0
Not able to see any flash. No swf object javascript in header. Just the plain links in module div. Have enabled flash in module settings but getting nothing. I had to do a manual install by dragging folder into module directory. .zip would not install through joomla install/unistall extnsion manager. Any help greatly appreciated. Link below:

Hello Chris,

you must setup the modul under Extension >> Modul Manager >> Joomulus.

Please set there the Use swfobject to yes.

Thanks so much for the reply.
I have it setup that way you described. I have 'LOAD_SWFOBJECT' set to 'Yes'.
Any other suggestions?

no problem. ;-)

I read in your first post, that you had not installed joomulus over the Joomla install manager. Why??

I could imagine me, that you have problems with the rights on the modul-files.

I would delete joomulus and install it over the manager.

It would not install over the install manager. Just kept spinning/loading and nothing happened. I then installed manually via FTP. But you maybe correct ,some of the permissions may not be set correctly. Can you guide me as to what the problem might be.

mh ok. Please check in the backend under Help >> System Info >> Directory Permissions the Permissions. Is there all writable?

Who is your hoster?

Everything is writable! cyon.ch is the host. Haven't had a problem before with them and any Joomla plugins.

ok. Please check also under Help >> System Info >> System Info the PHP Version. Is it 4 or 5?

And what extension you use on your home-site over "Entwicklung durch Fussball"?? I can't see there anything...

ok.

then it must be that the modul-files have the rights from your ftp-user. On some hosters that makes trouble. Please check it with your ftp-programm...

I can set all the permissions through ftp or direct with the host. What should they be?

Look the left side.

But I did not install:
T1Lib Support No
JPG Support No
XPM Support No

Can some body hell me?

Hi guys :)
first off are you using joomulus on a version of Joomla 1.5?

The swf object javascript file isn't being loaded into the head of the html document. Other modules/components and templates have the power to rip out these files. Or it could be that your template doesn't have the <jdoc:include type="head" /> tag in the head.

Yes, 1.5.15.

I didn´t unterstand what you said regarding includes.
It worked in other server.
