i am no coder. but if someone can this this code, maybe this will save us all having problems with joomulus and IE6.

People who use SWFobject and Mootools at the same time, get problems in Internet Explorer. A solution that works for some people is adding the defer="defer" tag to the SWFobject javascript. But depending on the (load)order of the linked javascripts, the error occures still somtimes, so that's a buggy fix.

The solution is to place te SWFobject javascript into a domready (or load) event, so it will be compatible with other mootools functions and scripts (eg when you use Slimbox or Mediabox)

has anyone from Joomla Bear been able to take a look at this? I wish I knew code, I really want Joomulus to work for my IE users!

Give us just a weeeee bit more time - I spent 3 hours messing with it just a few days ago and did not quite crack it - I'm trying to get the new site live at the same time which is just going to make things sooo much better for everyone involved - time-to-train.com/

as soon as this is done I'm going to work out what's up with Joomulus. I have narrowed it down to flashvars and/or javascript being called in head which maybe should be called in body - getting close... just a little longer

PS: I have tried teh defer defer tag and it does not fix it - the error is more likely something in the flashvars.

No your page does not load for me in IE6 - I get the same error.

The French version is actually older than ours and does not fix the primary IE6 error - we're working on this. The issue seems to reside within the Flash Vars - we are looking at another method for this right now.

With all respect, but changing 4 lines of code (with the ajax.googleapi) from the latest version of helper.php with the lines from this French version helper.php makes it work on IE (version 8).

Does it work on IE6 - this has been the main bug bear. No pun intended.
Can you possibly attach your amended helper.php?
Would be much appreciated.

Allright. Indeed, I do not know if it works on IE6.....:( , Microsoft almost forced me to upgrade..
