not sure if anyone else would like this feature however i think it would be really nice to be able to have images that hover in the cloud aswell so for example you could make a cloud for top members of the site with their profile pics in the cloud

That is a very cool idea and Roy Tanck has already done it forwordpress/flickr - were looking at fitting in some work on this shortly.

any rough idea on when we might see this feature?

just wondering if there was a time frame for this feature or if it was a dead idea

just checking its been 7 months wanted to see if the images attacted to the cloud entries is a consideration any time soon

Yip it is a definite consideration. I'm unsure how far to take it though. I really don't like Joomla Modules, they're very limited. The flash side of things isn't too bad. It's just whats required from a user, if it were a module, would be to resize all the images, upload them through the Joomla media manager, take note of the URLs, go to the module, paste all the image URLs and links into module params (without being able to preview). To maintain something like that for a user is a nightmare.

So I'd really like to build a component to handle image management. To resize, add links etc.

This could be a good week of development to get a running component. Probably wont get a beta out till March. But I believe its an important component. It could also be used for slide shows and other image based modules.
