I switched my main left menu option from Vertical to Flat List in order to have the blue highlight for the page I am on.

However, previously, when I had the Vertical option, I was able to have child items under the Parent link, once I click that item.

After I switched the menu option to Flat List, those child items disappear and don't show up anymore when I click the Parent Item. The item links are still shown as published under Menu Manager.

How do I bring back those Child Items now?

I'm not exactly sure how to show child elements for a default flat list. I've used extended menu before to archive the child elements. on truescape.com/index.php?option=com_content& task=blogcategory&id=29&Itemid=73

I'll post the configuration details if you need help. It should just pick up the css from black bear. I know extended menu also displays 'active' menu items for child items.

ok, i installed extended menu and the child items appears once i click the parent item.

the only thing is that its a bit hard to distinguish the child items from the parent items because i can't ident.

so i added "\\" in front of the child items.

is there a way to change the text color, background color, or not make it bold, of the child items?

i also tried indenting, but it won't recognize the indent parameters.. even though i select it, nothing changes..
