From Big Bear: "Could you post this in the forum - its slightly easier to work there. Did you mean to publish the module at the very very top of the template above everything
else? from the screen grab I assumed you just wanted to get rid of the space between the pic and the horizontal nav bar?"

Answer From Mike: No, not quite. I have the SIR module working fine now at 996x200 pixels at the top of the Frontpage article. I'll leave it there. What I want to do is populate the empty header and navigation menu bar so they are not empty. Look at your sample BBPro screenshot: you have the text "Black Bear Pro" in large cool letters, and some stuff on the navigation bar beneath it and above the SIR slide show. How do I get menu items to display there? Currently both areas are empty and displaying in black above the SIR snow picture;see screenshot I attached here.

What city are you in? I want to setup a Zonetick system tray clock for your timezone on my laptop here.

Thanks, Mike S.

City=Auckland

To add the logo locate head.png from the template/images directory.

In an image editor like photoshop place logo in desired position - save/export as head.png, replace and upload. I recommend this method above others because you effectively reduce the number of images required for site and remove need for a transparency fix for IE6.

If you'd prefer to position the image over the header I can provide some code for this.

For the menu you will navigate to Modules > Top Menu and publish - slect the position Top-Nav from the module parameters (you are using Joomla 1.5?)

Let me know how you get on.

Heh - Nice. Sorry I did not inquire where you are geographically - Had a hell day 4 hour client meeting followed by a 1.5 hour client meeting :(

I need to recharge also.

I'm in California USA.

I loaded a new head.png PNG file; that worked just fine.
Thanks. That's all it was. All problems solved !!

Who do you know that can make me a cool header file with "liquid-metal" style letters and a neat bear logo for me? Has to look good as a website logo, on T-Shirts, mugs, etc.

Getting on fine now -----
