Hi Glassblower,
Joomla does require a username and password to access the admin area - is this your problem?
You would have entered a username and password when you installed Joomla.
Can you post a link to your site?

I guess? My URL is rlrinterests.com when I try to go to that address it asks me for my username and password, I belive that would be my Joomla info yet it did not work. now I can't delete it from my site and I can't see my page either.
I am sure it is something I have not done rite. what all do I need to up-load to my server?
Thanks

Hi Glassblower,
The Joomla installation process is to upload all the files as you have done - you also need to setup a database and different hosts handle this in different ways.
Your host must support php and mysql.
I think you should contact your host in this situation as what you have done sounds correct - although you may not have setup a database yet? But this should not cause the error you are getting - you should now be getting a Joomla installation screen that will be asking for your mysql database username and password.
I would definitely contact your host in this situation - explain you want to run joomla and where you got to with your installation. They should help you out and if they can't I would look at switching providers - there are many hosts who will go as far as setting up applications on your behalf if you are having issues.
Lets us know how you get on.

HOLD ON THAT - I just noticed a Yahoo favicon out of the corner of my eye on your site!
So you host with Yahoo?
It just happens I was reading about yahoo hosting and Joomla the other day and they do not support .htaccess files - you'll need to delete this - which of course will be difficult if you can't access the site - If they gave you FTP access then log in with this and delete .htaccess - otherwise contact your host as I suggested and perhaps also mention the .htaccess file as I am certain that is your issue now.

It's in the root directory.
But if unsure just contact Yahoo hosting as I'm sure their support is reasonably good.

I knew it was something stupid, I had set the security with out even knowing it. So I have it all up-loaded now I am getting a Restricted access on the page, maybe its just a load time thing? Do you know anything about this message?
Thanks

Have you set up a database?
I still think you should run this past your host because Joomla installation can vary depending on the way your host configures things making it easier/harder in different situations.
From what I have read you can host Joomla on yahoo BUT they make some things difficult.
You are paying them a fee for their services, which includes support, and they are not running a standard hosting setup so I do believe they should help you out with this.
Cheers
