How to remove the bullets in submenu 3 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello, I've just upgraded to joomla 1.5 and to you new blacbear template, but it seems I can't get rid of some nasty bullets that keep appearing in my submenus. It looks like some list of some sort is being called. Can someone help? Pls take a look at www.liquidcore.ro , a specific example you can find at www.liquidcore.ro/index.php/revista-itac-mainmenu- 43 .

Any thoughts?

Do you mean the list of items "hardware", "software", etc?

heh - no problem - after that reply i fixed the css on the forum post submit buttons - hopefully u saw an improvement there :)

upgraded to new fireboard recently and still ironing out a few things...

In your css look for this:

#content li (line 168)

{

line-height: 20px;

font-size: 12px;

padding-left: 14px;

background-image: url(../images/bluearrowbullet.png);

background-repeat: no-repeat;

background-position: left 4px;

}

you have a few options - u could replace the arrow with your own image? or just rip out all the styles for #content li and replace with a list-style-type:none; - it would look like:

#content li {
list-style-type:none;
}

Hope taht helps

Thanks a lot man! I just added list-style-type:none; and the problem with the menu was solved.

Didn't touch that part; seemed to me that it was the bullets from the content not the menu. But now the submenus are not expanding anymore... any thought on this one? Not a big problem, anyway.

what browser are you using? IE or Firefox?

I'm using Firefox 3 and I couldn't see any submenus at all - even when I first looked at the site - thats why I asked if you meant content in middle.

Looking at the site now I still see bullets on the content... It looks the same as it did before. Image attached.

What are you using for your submenu?

Firefox 3, but it was the same thing in IE7. Something is wrong here if it looked the same in both of them ;)

In the content, yes, there are the same arrows; I also had some submenus in the left mainmenu, where I got a small circle in front of every submenu entry. Found something in Google's cache if you could take a look 209.85.135.104/search?q=cache:tCQ0JI6azo...amp; client=firefox-a

Though I consider the problem solved. Really don't know how; I emptied the cache in browsers, in joomla too, stoped the caching, started the caching, restarted apache, checked in Linux&Windows etc They were there
