Joomla Templates

Hi,

I have installed the BlackBearPro template into a Joomla 1.5.6 installation.

I can see the template ok when I view the site, and most things are smooth.

However, when I browse to the template in the "template manager" I see these two errors:

Menus: Cannot assign default template.

and also:

The parameter file /templates/blackbearpro/params.ini is unwritable! There are no parameters for this item.


I can't see any visual problems with the site at the moment as a result of this, but i am having a bit of trouble making any buttons appear on the top menu, and I wondered if it was related to this.

Could you please help me resolve this error!

Hi,

I don't think there are any parameters for BlackBearPro - nothing was put into the template that could be configured via the back end - the only clever stuff is the columns which will disappear if nothing is published in them.

Regarding menus - have you published your top menu module to "Top-Nav"?

Additionally files being un-writable are often due top file permissions, check with your host on this one.

Hey all, I believe it's un-writable because I think there was no params.ini included in the zip or in the template xml. As Big Bear said there wasn't any configurable parameters included in the template so params.ini was included. It shouldn't effect the buttons. The top menu has a class suffix of '-nav', I'll attach an image of the details.
