TOPIC: Jevents contentx workaround not working with PBpro

Jevents contentx workaround not working with PBpro 3 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
Since I've installed the new polarbear pro chromatic, I've been having trouble using a workaround for another extension's bug (with yet another extension) described here:

www.jevents.net/forum/viewtopic.php? f=12...rontend+editor#p2205

It used to work fine with the polarbear version I had before, but now all the content is placed at the bottom left.

I know it's not a polarbear problem, but I thought someone might be able to give me a solution.

Thanks.

OK in technical terms it would be a cross application compatibility issue. <div id="content"> is a common div id to use in CSS it's strange Jevents rely on this to open their wysiwyg editor.

If you want to fix the bug described in that forum you'll have to open the index.php and template.css. You can do this all via the template admin area in Joomla.
Go to template manager select the template that requires editing in this case polarbearchromatic. And in the top right hand area of the template settings page you'll see preview, edit HTML, edit CSS, save, apply, close, help.
If you click to edit the HTML you'll find on line 111 <div id="content"> change it to <div id="contentJB"> (or your preference). This will probably make the template look awful. You'll have to go into the template CSS by choosing to edit CSS, then select the radio button next to template.css and select edit from the top right. Now there are 4 instances of #content that you'll need to change on line 138, 146, 151, 155. You'll need to change this #content to this #contentJB.

Or you can copy paste the attached CSS into the template manager.

Hope that fix's the problem.

I didn't really pay attention to your answer this morning. This is the workaround that's described in the forum and it used to work with polarbear 1.5, but it's not working with the chromatic version anymore.

I just though I'd post the question, just in case it's an easy answer or someone else had come across it.

Thanks for the help.
