Joomla Templates

I created an article with nothing but text.
If i publish it on the front page with columns set to 2, the text extends beyond the width of USER3. If I set columns to 0 the article appears correctly but all other articles no longer appear on the front page. Is there away to fix this?

I need this to work before I can publish my site.

That is very strange - as you can see here we designed the template to work with 2 columns provided images, etc are not larger than the available width.

You can set the number of items to display in the menu parameters where you set the number of columns to use.

Leading articles is what it's called if memory serves me correctly.

Additionally a long string of text with no spaces will break the layout on any template - this usually happens with very long URL's. I've never found a fix for this problem.

Sorry it took so long to respond. What I discovered is if my first article contains a table I get the situation described below. If I remove the article with the table, everything works as expected. By the way, the article with the table fits in the space as expected. Just articles that follow it are messed up.
