I am having problems with active highlighting. The menu item is highlighted when dragging the mouse over it but when clicking on the particular menu item the active menu page is not highlighted.
The menu items include a URL, article frontpage, events and contacts category.
I have tested in IE, Chrome and Firefox. Any suggestions?

May I have a look at the site?
It's a strange issue, usually active highlighting is a pretty hard thing to mess up. So I can't think what it would be off the top of my head.

Right I'm thinking it has some thing to do with the Home button not being on the 'main menu'. It's a really strange thing with joomla that puzzled me for months. But it seems to rely on the home and main menu. The top news item always has #current .active, that is the place by default where the home button would sit.
No grantee on this but try moving the home button back to main menu.

The 'News' button in the main menu points to the homepage in an 'article - frontpage layout'. I changed the name of this menu item to home but as expected the active highlighting issue is not resolved.
Does the main menu need a specific item link format?
