Polarbearpro wrong menu aligment in IE7 3 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 0
Im on my way in to the world of Joomla and templates and there has been some obstacles but this time i can not seem to find the solution myself.

I have started out in Firefox but i opened up the site im working with in IE7 and the menu is missaligned somehow. Is this repairable?

Im running Polarbearpro 1.5 on Joomla 1.5.9, attached are a screenshot of the problem.

Anyone?

Edit: And a big thanks to the creator of this template!

That is very strange - I've looked at your example and it does the same thing for me as well - yet the source code appears to be identical to the demo casenano.com

can you make me a super admin account and email details to info@ this sites domain name. I'll take a look at the module config.

The only thing i think i have changed is that i have borrowed the black background for the menu buttons from the Polarbear theme.

Email sent.

Edit: Copied buttonhover.png in Polarbear to vertnavbutton-hover.png in Pro.

hmmm - So I'm hoping you won't hit me now ;-)

I've found a slight bug in our template in that if you don't publish the Menu Title it seems to hv the issue you describe... I'll take a look at it as I'm sure there is a simple fix. However I'm really busy tonight trying to finish something for a client so it might be a day or so before I can get to this.

If you want to have a play with it yourself it will have something to do with this:

.menu {

list-style-type: none;text-indent: 5px; position:relative;

width: 172px!important;

margin-left:-6px;

}

Or this:

#left .moduletable, #left .moduletable_menu, #right .moduletable, #right .moduletable_menu, #right .moduletable_text, #left .moduletable_text {

padding:6px;

}

Though I really can't understand how the title being published influences this at this stage... my guess is that .menu which gives the whole menu module a -6 margin is somehow not being applied by IE7 when the title is absent - so I would look at applying the -6 margin to .moduletable_menu instead. I'll have to test this idea though

I'll try and get a patched version of the template out ASAP.

Cheers

Bumping this one. I had no success with my limited css knowledge. Could you give this a look again?

Funny, I thought it was just me having issues with the left menu in IE. Tried to do a patch but came up empty. Decided to use menu title until someone can figure this one out. Great template BTW.
