Joomla Templates

Hello. I love this template! It allows for some incredible flexibility in terms of the visual experience for the visitor.

Anyway, I had installed this a while back to see how I liked it before inserting my own images for the background. I uninstalled it, replaced the stock background images with my own, retaining the filenames, and then tried to reinstall it. HOWEVER, I'm getting an error message:

JInstaller::install: File '/homepages/40/d158434596/htdocs/Joomla/tmp/ install_4a252d23dde8a/transparent_bliss_1.5/ background_images/image3.jpg' does not exist.


Now, this may sound stupid, but I opened up the folder to confirm that "image3.jpg" was there. It DOES exist! So what's the deal? Any ideas?

Could be you have named image 3 with a capital letter?

e.g.
Image3.jpg

I would accomplish the image changeout in a slightly different way - I would connect to the website with FTP - download all the template files you want to keep (such as the background images) then delete the transparent bliss template directory entirely.

Then reinstall the template and simply FTP your new images over the templates default.

No. I named the image the same (lowercase).

I don't really understand the alternative method you mentioned. Do I just replace them via FTP? Do I understand that correctly? I can reinstall the template with the stock images, etc. and try that.

Why do you think this method didn't work?

Ok. I tried reinstalling the template in stock form, then FTP my images to replace the stock ones. It seems to have worked, however the size is off. Do these images have to be a certain size? The stock ones were all different sizes.

It may seem like all the images are the same, but each is a picture taken with different camera settings. Just testing them out to see which we like better.
