I have tried and tried and tried to save meta tags for my web pages but cannot. I previously had set this up but recently had a look and found to my surprise that they had changed to be 6 words only.

WHY?

I am not getting my message across with only 6 words. I have tried to save new words but it will not save.

Why won't my text save??????

First, can you please add a link to your site?

Where you enter the Tags? In your Globalconfig or for any Site??

When you add the Tags in the Globals, the Site-Crawler find at first the Globals and after this the Site-Tags.

I've looked in my Globals but it still has more keyword tags than what is showing (Drawable, trade drawing specialists, trade drawings, construction drawings, shop drawings, schematics, line diagrams to as built and as executed, AutoCAD, labels and drafting). I can't find where to information is pulling from.

Hi Tracy, Hi Hofmar - nice to see you both back in the forums.

Tracy I've had a look at the source code of your site and your meta tags look pretty good.

I can see you only have the 6 keywords but I would not worry about this - Google does not use meta keywords at all. So you are not missing out on anything here - to see why your Joomla is only displaying those keywords I'd have to log in and have a look at your site.

Something that would help you a bit more would be tweaking your page title tag - I've just done a little keyword research and I think by optimising your site for technical drawing services you could do quite well... Have a play with that tool and see what it comes up with - Title tag is the most important meta tag and by including keywords in this that get searched for - and relate to your services - you can bring customers to your site that will convert well.

Anyways, I had a look at the information you sent through, that was good reading. I feel enlightened. Thanks for the helpful hints.
