Transparent Bliss questions 2 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello, and my compliments on some fantastic joomla templates. These are the best I've seen on the net.

I am using Transparent Bliss on my site, and it looks great. However, I'd like to put a kunena forum on my site, and it looks really bad squeezed into the middle section of Transparent Bliss. I've read some other posts on modifying the width of the center section of the template, and they all suggest it's a bad idea. Do you have any other suggestions that might help me out? Should I use a different template for the kunena forum?

Thanks!

Try this 2 Column version.

This should be installed as well as the default 3 Column Transparent Bliss - so don't uninstall the one you have - just install this and then assign to the forum menu in the template manager.

Thank you so much for the quick response! That 2 column version should work perfectly for the forums.

That leads me to another question. I'm kind of a CSS novice (ok, more than kind of...), and I'm trying to rearrange some things on the template to fit my large logo on top. It's 771 x 245 pixels, so it pretty much takes up the entire top of the page, but it displaces the top banner ad, which misaligns the 3 columns below. I've been able to realign them by just removing the "topbannerad" section from the css file. But I was wondering, if I wanted to make a small bannerad (maybe 60 to 100 pixels tall) that went across all 3 columns between my logo and the 3 columns, where would I go about putting that code in the CSS? It seems wherever I think it should put it, it screws up the alignment again.

Thanks again for your help!

Also the previous alignment issues you where having with logo & topbanner ad was because of their size, you have to put "topbannerad" section back into the css file.
The set size for
#headwrap (line 93)
{
width: 980px;
height: 90px;
margin-bottom: 10px;
}

You can put your #logo followed by # topbannerad under #headwrap, the reason it wasn’t aligned properly before was because it exceeded the total width of #headwrap. For them to site properly the total width of #logo (line 86) and #topbannerad (line 98) should not be more than 980px. Otherwise topbannerad will drop below logo.

Hope this helps,
