Joomla Templates

I can't see what I am writing. The template is black on the editor side of things. I am so frustrated, I can't see what I am typing until I view it on the other side. Can you please help me?

what editor do you use?
When you use the Tinymce you must customize the file:

../templates/system/css/editor.css

There you change the background(line 1) or the font-color(line2) to another color .

It is hard to help with little information. ;-) Have you a link to your site?

Hi Cammy Girl - have you got FCK editor installed? There is a tweak to disable template css from showing in the editor (a problem with templates that have the background set to any other colour than white.

I've logged into your Joomla site and installed Joomla FCK editor - hope you wont mind. JCE is good too but I use and recommend FCK - I also know how to tweak it. Also the last time I compared JCE and FCK the latter had more options.

In the plugin settings for Joomla FCK I have disabled the template.css from influencing the editor.

Have tested an article and it's working well.

I also realised you don't know actually need the body of your HTML to be set to a dark colour - so this would be another fix and you could go back to JCS if you preferred - we can set your body to white in template.css and in the background.css, i.e. #FFFFFF and we should probably do this anyway as your site may load a flash of black before the background comes in.

Yes, I noticed the flash of black when going to site. Looks heaps better now
