Joomla Templates

Hello again,

This is probably a stupid question, but I have been trying to figure this out searching tutorials, the web and forums and playing around a little ...

I am wondering how I can get my logo onto the very top of the page (I am using the Polarbear template). There is nothing there now, and I can't make out how to put something there. Here's my site: may17oslo.com.

Should I use a banner for this? Do I need to download a module or something?

Can anybody please help me with this? If there was a logo in the template, I know I could just change the content, but there wasn't any as far as I can see ...

Just replace the current logo which is called logo.png. It's in the images folder inside the template folder (not the main Joomla images folder)

Thanks Big bear, I am hopeless. I can't find this file (nor the folder). Is it in Media Manager in Joomla? In the zip file there is no such named file among the 10 images in the images folder. Thanks again in advance for your help!

Not sure whether you can find it in the Media Manager, but you can find it in the folder on your server. I use Blackbear and there it is located in Blackbear \ images \ . Guess that the locations in Polarbear will be similar.

Apologies - I had thought you were using the new Transparent Bliss and my instructions were for that.

Polar Bear and Black Bear don't have a logo file - you need to open head-bear.png in an image editor and drop your logo into it. You'll need an image editor such as Gimp (free) http://www.gimp.org/ or Photoshop/Fireworks will do it.

You can find head-bear.png on your site here:
http://www.may17oslo.com/templates/polar...images/ head-bear.png

Once you have placed your logo in the file you need to resave it and upload to the same place i.e. /templates/polarbear/images/head-bear.png
