Slide-Show,... 2 Years ago Karma: 0
Hiho!

Almost done with the new Gamma Ray page. Just want to add a cool element, that's a kind of slide-show, like here: http://transparentbliss.joomlabear.com/

Does anyone quickly know how to add / install that module to my existing page?! http://joomla.gammaray.org/

Would be awesome to add some coll sliding in pictures on the starting page!

Thanks,
Harald.

Yes, I think this would be great. Don't know which other possibilieties I'd have!

I would change the pictures and mybe leave out the pop-up "No Title" & "Joomla Demo" notice that comes from the top if you go on it with the mouse!

:-)

Just missed you being online I think!

Harald.

We have finished the installation and here is a small How-To what was the way.

1.Download Slideshow Pro
2.Install it on your joomla over the extension manager
3.Create a directory over for example the media manager at /images/slideshow
4.Upload images with the size you want in the created folder. In the TransparentBliss Demo we use images with 562 x 250 px
5.Go in the backend under Extensions >> Module Manager >> Select SlideShow Pro
6. On the left site setup this:
Show Title: No
Enabled: Yes
Position: user9
7.On the right side set the Image Folder to: images/slideshow and Show All Images to yes.
8.Under Advanced Parameters set the Number of Images to 1
9.Under Other Parameters set the Image Width and th Image Height to the size your uploaded pictures have.
10.Save the configuration and see at your frontend a nice Slideshow

Hope it helps.

Dear GermanBear!

It's really unimaginable how much you helped with this as well! I am so thankfull, your service is absolutely a HIGH RATE PRO Service and friendly all the time!

I think the future page will kick ass, the first reactions I got are great so far!

I am now only trying to figure out, which transition effect is used in the Transparent Bliss 3 template is used, because I want my pictures fading into eachother like in the template... maybe someone else here knows?!

Rock and Bear on!!!

Hi,

in between I found RokSlideShow and add the modul at the same position! It contains the fading transition effect I have been looking for, but I have trouble getting rid of the image border: http://joomla.gammaray.org/

the module for slideshow seems to work great, though sorry for a newbie question - is it possible to increase/decrease delay between showing the images? I think this shouldn't be hard to do but I don't know if the module's code can be edited.

Hi scept1c,

you can setup the delay in the backend under Extensions >> Modul Manager >> SlideShow Pro
on the right side under Advanced Parameters you see the delay and there you can setup it.

Hi iris,

welcome at JoomlaBear.com :-)

Have you enabled the module? Which template in which version you use?

Can you post a link to your site?

GermanBear

Hi GermanBear,

I tried to delete the rokslideshow module and install slideshow pro instead on my polarbear site. However I get an error message when trying to install the module:

* JFolder::create: Infinite loop detected
* Advarsel! - Kunne ikke flytte fil

(It says "unable to move file"). Any idea what might be the problem?

Ok I solved it after some googling. Apparently its a fairly common problem arising when you change servers: forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=470& amp...19b9d31&start=30
