Joomla Templates

I have utilised Joomla for some time now and have found Joomla Bear templates some of the best, so thanks.

I am currently building my website and am hoping to totally remove the "Select Background" feature from the template. I have had a good look through the .css and index.php files and can't work out what to remove or replace.

If you could help it would be much appreciated.

Why you want remove it totally? When you have disabled it in the temlpate options, nobody see it.

To delete you must edit the index.html file and remove some lines.

But why you want it?

Hi! Could you tell me how to display the Select Background only on the home page? My site is coming along well by the way! It is now live at metoperachorus.com

You can install a second template and disable there the Select Background module.

But I think of a other solution and post it then.

i have a solution. Please make a backup before you taste it!

Please go in the backend >> Extensions >> Templates >> Transparent Bliss 3 >> Edit html

In this file you search the line

} else if ($this->params->get('showselector') == "show") {

and change it to

} else if ($this->params->get('showselector') == "show" && strlen((isset($_SERVER['HTTPS'])?'https':'http') .'://' . $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] . $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']) <= '27') {

Now it must run. But caution: This is a solution for your domain. When you change it or other people will use it, you must change the 27 in the code, to the length of your domain!
