Transparent Bliss Background Problem 1 Year, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
I have been using the 2 column Transparent Bliss for a few months. I uploaded my own image for the background. I deleted the default image3 and then renamed the image I was using image3. It worked fine.

Last night I decided to change the image to another file. I think I picked image5 in the background images. I upload the file and it stays the original template file. I refresh and it is still the original background. I clear my cache and it is still not my image. I try other computers that have not been to the website and it is still the normal image 5.

I then rename the file to image3 and select image3 since that worked for my previous image. It displayed the image3 I had previously used. I then decided to edit to css and have it point to a non-existent file to see if that would clear things out. It did and the background became a solid black.

At this point, I edited the css again and had it point back the the image3.jpg. However, no images are loading. It stays black.

I can change things to other default images and they display correctly.

So what do I need to do in order to get it to display the image I want?

Hello JulianDracos,

Welcome at JoomlaBear.com :-)

This must be a problem with your hoster. Please try that you rename or delete the image5 first at your server. Then look on your frontsite. The background must be black.

Now upload your new image with name image5.jpg on the server

When you give me a link to your site, I can take a look.

So I deleted all of the background image files and made sure that it was black. I think made sure the CSS and params.ini were writable. I uploaded new files and then selected image 3. It is still just a black background. I can select image 1 that I uploaded a couple of months ago and it works, but not any new files. I just get a black background.

Here is the webpage.

when I open your background-image, I can see that Joomla will open the Image7. See the first Image I attached.

I select there Image3 and I see your new picture.

You must change in the img3.css file the image7.jpg to image3.jpg and it works.

Code:

body {
background-image: url(../background_images/ image7.jpg);
background-color:#000000;
background-repeat:no-repeat;
}

Well that certainly looks good, now if only I can get it to work ;)

So I think I have identified where the problem is. The css file does say image3 and has for awhile. It is just not getting the to website for some reason.

I even used FileZilla to open up the css file to make sure that the changes Joomla was showing were actually changed on the file. Here is what the css file says:

body {
background-image: url(../background_images/image3.jpg);
background-color:#000000;
background-repeat:no-repeat;
}

Ok I found the problem. I am using the 2 col which is listed as a separate template. However, the files needed to be loaded into the 1.5 template. Further, the css files that have to be changed were for the 1.5 template. So all of the work I was doing with the 2 column image files and css did nothing because the program was always going back to the 1.5 file locations.

I think I now have it working since I can float between the 2 images I am using.

Thank you for your help. Now I just have to decide if I want to keep the 2 column, move to Trans Bliss 3.0, or the Black Bear Pro. Not sure what will work best for a gaming companies website.
