Joomla Templates

Hello
I havent used Joomla previously and am trying to get some understanding.
I want to produce a web new site which will be on a windows 2003 server.

When the site is up and running I want to be able to allow the customer to update the site on the server rather like adobe contribute.
Can you please advise if this is possible and are there any tutorials for this aspect.

Also are there some shopping cart add ons for Joomla?
