Joomla Templates

Hello all.

I am very excited about the Transparent Bliss 1.5 template. It looks great!

I have limited experience with Joomla, HTML, CSS and have been having difficulty finding information regarding my problem.

I have downloaded a fan kit from Age of Conan MMORPG and there are images in that fan kit that I want to use as my background. I have gone into Cpanel at my host and uploaded the images I do want into the background image folder in Transparent Bliss template folder. I've tried everything but nothing seems to work. I can't get the image I want to display in the background of my template. Hell, I have even tried deleting all the default images and renamed the image I wanted as "image 2" thinking that the CSS is looking for a file named "image 2" and made sure the image selector module was set to image 2 and "hide" (as it is in the example template I've provided in the link below), but the image just reverts back to one of the default images that came with the original download of the template. Even after I deleted it.:angry: And yes, I cleared my firefox cache and made sure the files were writable. I'm very confused.
Is it possible I am using images that are the wrong format? The icons next to the AoC image files did not match the icons next to the default images 1-6 files despite both being .jpg extensions. I'm referring to the icons next to the files in my file manager under Cpanel. I'm pretty sure this has something to do with my problem.
Do I need to use an FTP client to transfer the image? Or perhaps phpMyAdmin? I'm not familiar with these programs with the exception of watching a few YouTube tutorials.

What I want is very similar to this ^^

...but without the World of Warcraft theme, using an Age of Conan theme instead. I have undone everything that i did during the experimental phase of trying to figure this out. I've reinstalled transparent bliss 1.5 in anticipation of finding a solution here.
If anyone could please help me with my problem I would be very grateful.

Hey Skra,

I feel your pain. I've lost countless hours trying to solve html and css issues. Usually it comes down to one missing character (or on too many).

You shouldn't need to use FTP if you're using the cpanel file manager. FTP can be a lot faster if you're doing lots of file editing. phpMyAdmin is for MySQL databases, useful if you're ever going to build a module or component.

-What format are the Age of Conan images? Most probably .jpg

-the css code needs to have url(../imagename.jpg);

Chances are it'll be a typo some where. If you're still having troubles email me the image you're trying to use and I'll see if I can get it working alexis@joomlabear.com

Hey again,

All those links lead to your web mail which you need a username and password to login with. Can you attach one in a zip file to this forum using the "select file to attach" form field.

Sorry again. Just realized I wasn't receiving email. I have turned the whitelist/blacklist filter off in my Horde account and enabled Spam Assassin through my Cpanel. I have used Yahoo to test the receipt of Emails and its DEFINITELY working now.

Try overwriting image3 with this file.
