Hey Skiffie nice work, good to see black bear in use.
The main thing you could improve upon would be image sizes, the images you're using are about 8 times too big. Photoshop is grate but you could even use paint to reduce the size. By size I mean the width and height, if you right click the image and click 'properties' or 'view image' you'll see the the actually width. This is inefficient for both your server and the person browsing your web page.

I actually use GIMP for my artistic endeavours, so no hassles there.

Just wondering which images you refer to in particular?
