Hey there Big Bear, and to all the others who leave really great info in their posts.

I owe it to you folks for enabling me to produce such a great result for my local pool hall and pub.

They really love the site.

The only thing I would suggest is perhaps using a larger background image?

On my quite large monitor I see the edges of it - I find using a pic about 1400px wide and 1100 px deep works quiet well - if you want to go all out you can blend the edges of teh pic into your background color using photoshop, fireworks, gimp, etc.

The above dimensions will work pretty well on all common monitor types.

I'll try the resolution you suggested. I deal with a crowd that doesn't have the latest in computer technology....hehe. but that may help to balance between those who do and don't.

And I too like the fade in edges for the background. Probably would make for a more professional look.

I've just adjusted the top menu - it may have been looking a little whack when you looked at it - the showcase is now in teh top nav instead of side nav whcih should give u a bit more exposure.

I like that background so much more at that size and with the gradient fade on the edges.

Thats how i really wanted it to look.

I also hope the vid will be useful for a lot of users as I see some odd things going on with background images quite often.

You should install analytics if you have not already and let me know how your traffic goes.

I installed Jstats for now. The analytics site is moving right now and couldn't find a download link. I'll see how Jstats works for a while until analytics is done moving.

I'll give an update in a while to let you know how we're doing.
