Apologies for the delay, Big Bear has had the flu - which followed a bout of another sometimes deadly ailment called "too much client related work"...

You no longer need to publish the main menu in user 1 - Just use Left and Right for the two columns and Top for your banner/slideshow whatever... You'll want to publish your top menu in User3 

Enjoy and apologies for the long delay and neglect of the forums - Am hoping to be putting a lot more time into JoomlaBear over the coming months.
